Adjust hitters options
Could someone clarify these for me.
In the historical league creation wizard you can adjust hitter options. Adjust hitters with fewer than X at bat 300 Weaken hitters with fewer than X at bat 50 Adjust pitchers option (starters get the quadruple number of IP applied) Adjust pitchers with fewer than X innings 40 Weaken pitchers with fewer than X innings What does everyone usually use here. Right now most of my replays are always single season. I’d like teams to use players close to what their usage was during that season. Thank you for any replies. |

If you use real life lineups, then you can set these close to zero.
Weaken/adjust is used to prevent a player that hit .500 in 60 AB in real life from hitting .500 in 600ABs as a player in real life. Using 300/50 he should hit close to league average regardless of how many ABs he has in your league. If you use 100 as you weaken setting, then he will hit near replacement level. |

As Reed said. It regresses towards league average (I assume - though replacement level might be more appropriate)
Knowing any random player went 10 for 20 tells upus basically nothing about their actual ability. The safer assumption is that a player is a league average hitter, not a .500 hitter |
