Import question

Hi people, I'm just looking for a wee bit of guidance / insight here - thanks in advance for any help.

I'm 7 seasons into my custom league on OOTP20. Have bought 21 and plan to import across once the playoffs for this season are done.

For the upcoming season 8, I am planning to go from my current 2 SL / 4 D / 6 T setup to a full replication of the MLB, for which I will be doing an Expansion to add the missing 6 teams, rework the League structure, then do an Expansion Draft and my annual FA Draft. (I turn off AI roster changes as soon as the World Series is done so cheeky buggers don't go raiding the FA pot before the Draft.) All of which I have prior experience in doing, and usually do the day after the Series ends.

My question is this for anyone who has done something similar with their OOTP league:

On what day do you suggest I do the import? I want all of the historical stuff re Champion / Playoff History etc to be recorded into the 20 version and come across into 21, which from memory happens on the day the Offseason starts? But I also want to take advantage of the upgrades to Expansion / Draft / Scouting in 21, so want to do my Expansions and Drafts on that version.

So are we thinking on the first day of the Offseason, when the desired info has been written in? Or has someone had a similar situation and has a better option sometime later?
