Why Are FA Contracts Being Auto Offered?

I'm in my first offseason and keep seeing MLB and Minor League contracts being offered to FAs without any input from me, some of which are ridiculous and putting me well over budget.

How do I control which players receive offers so that I don't have to keep Withdrawing them?

Check your owner. If he's controlling or interfereing, he does that for you without your approval sometimes

Thanks.
Is there a setting somewhere to affect that? I don't see anything in the owner profile or owner editor about FA signings.

Make sure you are the GM and not "Acting As" the GM. If that is not it, then check to make sure your Asst GM is not set to offering contracts in Manager Options.

I'm the GM (not Acting As) and according to my Manager Options all Transactions (Signing Free Agents, Releasing Players, etc.) are my responsibility.

The owner has Normal involvement. I wouldn't think that would cause the owner to start throwing our offers left right and centre without my involvement.

This is very frustrating.

Can you post a screenshot of your teams Personnel page?

Also, are you playing a historical or standard game (or fictional)?

Photo of Personnel page attached, as well as that of my Team Control Settings. I'm playing a standard game.

You have minor league managers set to sign and release guys, that is why they are offering contracts to guys.

For minor league contracts only... they shouldn't be offering MLB contracts. Besides, when I had that function under the GM's control it made no difference.

I think there is an issue right now when you offer a guy a minor league deal with a major league option, it is treating it like a major league deal, so maybe that is why you are seeing that.

And if you have minor league managers set to sign/release players, they will do so not matter what your GM settings are.....been like that for as long as I can remember.

Thanks for the help, but that's not the issue. Senior MLB FA's are being offered full-MLB contracts for $9+M/annually without my input. I don't care about small minor league offers, even with major league options, being issued without my initial input, but I have to keep Withdrawing offers from MLB players cause of this issue.

You have the "Do not disturb" mode active, which essentially removes your control temporarily from the team, so the AI is doing its best to sign players for you.
