Moving up leagues?

Dumb question (probably): This is my first year playing Perfect Team. My question is, why is my team advancing leagues (Iron —> Bronze —> Silver) when it isn’t making the playoffs?

I actually made the playoffs in the Iron league, so I understood why I advanced. But in the Bronze league, I was a sub .500 team, so why would I get placed in Silver? I’m getting absolutely smoked in the Silver league now.

Any help in understanding now league advancement works would be appreciated. Thanks.

All teams making the playoff advance and then the rest will be depending on your win %.... if it says 16 teams advance, that's the 10 teams that make the playoff and the next top 6 team based on win %..... that's my understanding. Things will get adjusted as needed once the pyramid is form and we aren't to bottom heavy.

Right now it's propagating leagues so teams are getting promoted alongside teams that would naturally be way above them. Give it a few seasons for things to shake out still.

There are only 5 gold leagues right now, no diamond leagues and no Perfect League yet.

Edit:

If you're looking for specifics, in the "Main" menu dropdown you can click "Perfect Team Universe" and that will give you an overview of all the leagues (alongside # of promoted/relegated teams).

If you want to see your league specifically, in the "League" dropdown menu click "Standings" and then there is a "Pro/Rel Standings" tab that shows complete promotion/relegation standings for your league.

Once these leagues fill out then things will start to normalize. Give it a month.
