Bullpen Question
Happy stretch run Saturday, gentlemen!
I wonder if anyone could answer me this regarding tired pitchers in the bullpen: Do I need to tell the AI to not use them? For example, if I have a long reliever but he is nearly exhausted, do I need to change his usage from "normal" or do I need to take away his bullpen role temporarily, or will the AI just select the most rested matchup of the handedness required? Is this where I would want to edit the player strategy to "bench below x %"? Thanks all, and good luck the rest of the way!

I set them to bench below 90%, but interested to hear from some of the more experienced players on what's optimal.

OP - You shouldn't need to micromanage at that level. The AI will put in the rested guys before the tired guys, generally speaking.

I have never micromanaged my pen....even with roles... i find that simplicity is king when it comes to BP.

Bench position player below 90% is fine but OP asking about bullpen do NOT do that. Your whole pen would be out the next game after a 13 inning game and/or no one would pitch two days in a row which you will need from stoppers setup and closers. I think I've never actually set arms to bench below a certain level but in theory that would be bad.

In the same vein, does anyone know how the amount of exhaustion effects a player's performance? If he's at 90%, does a 70 then pitch/play as if he were a 63? I always just figured that the percentage meant how much they have left, but would still perform well if they had something left.
