Starting Contracts

I just started a franchise with the 1930 Brooklyn Robins. I chose a continuing franchise, not just a one year replay. I know I did that correctly because I see there is an amateur draft scheduled for December. My question is that every player on my team is showing that they are signed through 1930. They all say "arbitration" afterwards, so I guess I'll have a chance to go through that process, but does this sound unusual to anyone? Once my season is over, is my whole team going to be eligible to sign elsewhere?

Only Glenn Wright, who I signed to an extension, looks to be guaranteed for next year.
