Waiver problems?

I have had problems with waiving and designated for assignment players with major league contract and no option years left. When waiver period is over and I try to drop them to AAA it says they have to clear waivers first. End up just having to release. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I'm having some issues with the waiver wire in OOTP21: this is for an imported, fictional OOTPXX game (the game has actually been imported through various versions since OOTP18 with no previous issues).

The issue is that the waiver period isn't counting down, so players waived from before the import are frozen on the values from the previous game, while players waived since the import stay on 4 days waivers and 5 days dfa with no change.

The game was imported on 1st June, 2015 (after the draft - the draft pool had issues in the new version as some threads have already mentioned), and there were 6 players on waivers, either from 31st May or 1st June. Have since played until June 30th in OOTP21, and a further 15 players have been added to the waiver wire. As mentioned, the 6 players who were already there have the same values as at game import, while the new players are all still on 4 days regardless of when they were waived in the period from 1 June to 30 June.

Attached is link to info on players on waivers, including the date on which they where waived/dfaed... the current game date is 30 June, 2015.

Just an update/fix for the previous waiver wire issue...

As background, this league has an independent league, as well as a major league (24 teams) each with AAA and A affiliates and two college leagues that feed the major league in an annual draft.

The imported version had the independent league feeding the major league (which was checked in the OOTPXX version as well), but this seemed to complete screw up the league hierarchy when imported to OOTP21.

Once this 'Feeding into League:' option for the independent league was changed to None, the league structure went back to normal and the waiver wire issue was fixed. It also changed a few other things, like the information available in the ML Transactions screen and a little bug where game reports where showing the correct game ID for the wrong year.

To my untrained eye, before the change it seemed to be treating the Major league like a minor league...
