Question: Enabling Financials in Historical
Just bought the game today and am up against a wall in setting up what I want to do. I had hoped I could start a historically accurate game in 2014 including transactions and donors etc - essentially jumping back to that point in real time - while also having full access to financial constrictions that the real world would have imposed.
Is there a way to run a historical start with access to salaries and contracts of the time accurately represented? I'm looking forward to diving in to this game. Any help here is greatly appreciated. Last edited by kmdunbar; 04-04-2020 at 10:10 PM. Reason: clarification |

I don't think so. The problem has always been getting the salaries right mean getting the financials exactly right. It is a little more than just opening day payroll since you have coaches, scouting, player development etc. So I think the game kind of goes on averages for level of players listed in the salary section for financials. Once you go past a season, you really can't just give a guy the contract he made that year and let him be a free agent.
You can turn on historical transactions in the game. That takes away the ability to really do something different and sign free agents your team didn't have. The free agents are guys with no teams at that time. |
