Can't update real rosters

Anyone else getting an error when starting a 2020 MLB game, "Live update failed. Please verify your network connection before trying again?" ALl good with the network. Do live rosters not update if you use Challenge Mode, or only play as a manager? Note: game started me on March 11 as opposed to today (3/25.) Is this just going to be the default since that's when games stopped (from what I remember?)

There's no live update because there's no real season to update from

Figured that was the case. Wasn't sure if there was a way to get things like Noah's TJ UCL injury in there or something without editing those things from the last couple weeks.
