Laptop lost power

part way through a game that I was playing.

When I switched back on I saw a few inconsistencies:

- In Team Home Screen / Schedule the game I was playing has disappeared completely.
- In MLB / Scores the game I was playing appears with the note that 'The game was cancelled due to bad weather and has been rescheduled to...'
- When I look at my players who were on the field for the game their stats have been updated to include numbers from the game I was part was through playing and for example I can see that my pitcher threw 75 pitches one day ago and is exhausted.

Does this sound right / Something we have to live with?

It sounds to me that in the event of that Critical Error (Operating System went bye-bye due to loss of power), OOTP is coded to finish the game file or whatever so that there won't be any file corruption from OOTP not shutting down properly. Ya know how OOTP says it's saving this... and saving that... every time you exit the game? Well, OOTP obviously didn't have a chance to do that

When you ask, "Is this something we have to live with?" my unofficial response would be, "Maybe, it you routinely allow your laptop to completely die from loss of power."

When I first started playing OOTP 20 two months ago, I had a bad habit of walking away from my laptop with OOTP still running. My laptop occasionally reboots during inactivity for some reason I have never been able to figure out and I know Windows just about inside & out. Anyway, let's say my game was on December 13th when my computer rebooted improperly. When I came back and started OOTP again, my in-game date might be Dec 2nd or November 28th, etc. It never had a chance to properly save my current game files and therefore it rolled back to the last point that OOTP did save my game files. You can adjust how frequently you'd like OOTP to auto-save in the settings. You can even set it to Every Day, meaning every in-game day, but be prepared for OOTP to crawl...

Good luck.

tl;dr This is a user error issue, not OOTP's "fault".
