High End Diamonds
For those who pulled high end diamond cards, either last year or so far this year...do you find yourself pulling them luckily in basic packs, gold packs, or the diamond packs? I'm talking cards that sell for over say, 75,000 points. Curious as to how they were obtained.
Last year I opened I cannot tell you how many packs of all shapes and sizes, and really couldn't even obtain anything but a live season diamond. Thanks in advance. |

Well, basic and gold packs will be the same odds. Hard to say exactly what prices will shake out to be, but I have 3 diamond legend cards I pulled from regular packs, two of which have sold once for about 35k and one that hasn't sold yet. 98 OVR CL Tom Gordon (125 stuff, 86 movement, 83 control), 96 OVR CL Lindy McDaniel (107, 88, 93) and 95 OVR 3B Toby Harrah (76 contact, 95 power, 102 eye). If movement is still as key as it was last year those two are among the best relievers in the game.

I pulled Kilroy (98 LHP) this year from a standard pack- sold for 150k, only significant pull so far this year
Last year i got Brouthers (sold for 120k from a diamond pack doing a collection, and Mordecai Brown (twice) from standard packs with the way the odds are standard packs have far better odds than gold packs

The Secret, Detective Clouseau, is to open packs in batches of several hundred.
Else you're just waiting for the three diamonds to appear in the slot machine window. "Vegas--built by bad mathematicians." Last edited by Lemandria; 03-25-2020 at 11:27 AM. |
