Problem starting a new game

Hi -

I just purchased the game from Steam - I installed it to an external HD. Every time I try and start a new game, the progress bar goes to 100% on creating logos/checking affiliates - and then nothing. I have to force quit to get out of it. Any suggestions?

Wait longer.. it takes me a WHILE to start a game.

edit - uninstalled from external and reinstalled on internal HD. Thought it was getting stuck again - but it pulled through and I'm in. Thanks for the replies
