Transfer season from 20

When I open a season from 20 on OOTP21 I know it will transfer the full league, etc., but will all the new bells and whistles of OOTP21 now be a part of that season? Or would I need to adjust settings in the league?

What do you mean by bells and whistles? I had to go through my converted league settings and the one change I had to do was set the reliever rule to 3 to match the mlb. The default was 1.

New scouting system, camera angles, 26 man roster, 3 batter minimum, HR Derby, etc. - basically anything new in OOTP21 that wasn’t in last years addition.

yes all that is in the converted league but like I said go through your league settings to double check. You might have to actually select the rules at least.

I converted a league but I cannot for the life of me find where the reliever rule is. I converted mid season, could that be why?

Found it, lol. Game Settings to League Setting to Rules. Third option top left under League Rules.

This is good advice and what I do too.

After I import my first trip, after looking at my team's page, is to the settings.
Look over every page to make sure things are as I like and how new features are set. Examples were last year new CBA had to be checked IIRC. This year minimum batters faced has to be selected to 3 with default at 1 (at least in my import). I play with league evolution "off" and I always check to make sure it stayed that way on import.

It doesn't take long to go through the settings and while they always seem to come in the same it's still worth a look to avoid any unwanted surprises.
