I agree now. The arrangement as designed is best. Just a nudge of the player image to the left a bit more and we're there, except for the most bejeweled of players.

I still like it going straight down but I'm fighting a losing battle it seems.
When I was in the Marines and wore my dress blues with ribbons, they didn't slant to the left or right.

A few versions ago, they had the awards in a bar under the player image. I wish I had a screenshot of that because that, in my opinion, was the best arrangement of all. I realize we're never going back to that, at least for 21, but that would be my choice.

Really though, from a design standpoint: Even beyond the awards going behind the player it seems that, while I understand why they took it away, the dividing line is pretty necessary to make it look right. The straight down option creates it's own line and the others just feel (personally) like the awards are thrown on and out of place. An option to hide them (which may be there, I haven't had a chance to play) and then look for a different way to show them in the next version would be my recommendation that nobody asked for. |

At worst, I'll probably go with "ALL" and let the jewels cascade down behind the player, a visual clue that "This is one of the greats." If I want the details, I'll look them up in the player profile, as somebody suggested.

I usually try to see both sides of the story, but in this case I have to agree with those that don't like the backward slant. It just looks wrong. If there was an off switch, I'd definitely turn it off.

I noticed the same thing and found this thread.
I have no preference on the way they are displayed, but all of them should show. Steve Trout has many awards and when I hover on his head or shoulders, some yearly awards are completely hidden from view. Maybe an adjustment is required to not shown them behind the player image would work. The attached image shows the mouse over the players eye, where the 2027 award icon displays. The 2026 one is also covered and the 2025 one is visible to the right of the hat. Thanks, Malor |

I recall a college football team that 'stickers' the helmets. I thought that was cool when I first saw it and it still draws my attention when I see them on television. But I've never paused the screen and counted them. But that's just me.

Yes, the more I look at it (like Mike Trout above), the more I can live with that award waterfall look. That resolves the dilemma that I have had at times choosing between Truncate 1 and Truncate 3.

How about an option to have them go straight down?
can't stand them being hidden, especially when you go thru the trouble of making your own custom award images... and when you have a 38" Ultra wide it seems like there is plenty of space to spread things out, haha Look at all that open space to the right, and then all the awards crammed next to Mr. Ruths picture, seems silly Last edited by Aumakua; 03-20-2020 at 09:23 PM. |
