Should have said Rule V draft. Overwhelmed by the excitement of this new addition, that in the original headline I typed the wrong thing!

As always, when playing solo, I sim anywhere from 5-8 years, and then take over the Expos as an expansion team. I can't remember this being in OOTP20, but now when doing the Rule V draft, rather than just getting my scout's general recommendation, I can use the "Actions" drop down button, and ask him specifically for his recommendation for an SP, reliever, or any position player.

A nice addition to the game!!

yes I saw this too. this appears in the regular draft screen too.

Recommendation by position I believe should be available for all draft types.

During the draft, right next to the Scout Recommendation button on the right, is an "Action" button, with a drop down. Just click on that drop down, and in the old days, the only option was to finish the round, or finish the draft. Now you can ask your scout to recommend a player by position. There are times when you ask say for a 2B, he'll recommend a player who really plays say 3B, but can play 2B, but that is his weakest position. One player he recommended, the guy was 75 rated at 3B, and only 25 at 2B. So you may see things like that, but is still an awesome addition!

Yes, it follows the same logic as any player list, where anyone who is ranked at a position will count towards that position. That may change in time, though

I just did a test game, and for the expansion draft, it is not in there. That's Ok though.
