Eugene Church needs a Dallas Eagles logo.
I just started a new fictional/historical league...mostly fictional players with some real MLB stars...started in 1901 and will add new real rookies each season...only players of some reputation...not journeymen.
I call it the Continental League with South Central and Mid-Western Assn divisions in one league and Pacific Coast League and International League for the other divisions. Each year I plan to add the new MLB rookies, Negro, Japanese, Mexican and Cuban Stars in their debut seasons. Also will include all the great PCL, International League, American Association, Southern Association and Texas League stars. Just bought 5 books by Bill O'Neal to use as a source for players. He has a history of each one of the leagues. I will need 10-15 logos...but will list them one at time. First request is: DALLAS EAGLES Red, White and Blue colors...maybe "Lone Star of Texas" and an eagle clutching baseball bats or baseballs. That's my idea...but do your own thing if you want to. Prefer traditional design...1950 to the present...like it easy to read...with bold print...not thin lettering. Looking forward to what you guys come up with. The Dallas Eagles? That's near blasphemy to some football fans.

Henry and nmleague:
What a beginning...only wanted one and get 3 fine logos...dbacks may make it 4. They are all keepers...very well done. Exactly what I wanted in one...with two other very good versions. Well done colors on all three and excellent designs. too. nmleague: I like the way you used white trim on Dallas to separate it from the background. It's easy to read and shows up well. Darn nice eagle, too. Thanks a lot. You make it tough to choose...If I get multiple versions I will probably do like Henry and assign the logos to 1900-1930...1930-1960...1960-present. Henry: Could you include "Dallas Eagles" on yours? If possible, on the first one (round) make the orange circle complete and not chopped off. I realize you will have to make them smaller to fit in the city and nickname. Excellent eagle on yours, too. Last edited by Eugene Church; 10-08-2003 at 10:42 PM. |

Great Job, Henry...simply beautiful.
Font, red lettering with white trim and design are outstanding. If possible, please resize it to 150x150...Thanks. dbacks: Another wonderful logo...that is a great eagle...really like the black, red and white on the gray background. If you would, make DALLAS a little larger...may be almost the size of EAGLES. Also frame the whole log on the edges in red or black...whichever you think look best...and if you don't mind, remove the screws. And thank you, too, nmleague. I will use all three logos...all of them are excellent. This has been a fine day...great logos...and I solved the freezing problem with my new league...only one of the two leagues was scheduled.

Okay, I got rid of the screws, and made two different borders (one is red, the other black). Here is the red one:

Wow, dbacks...that is very, very nice.
The black and white frame is excellent. The red and white frame is excellent. The textured gray background is a nice touch, too. Thanks...hope you don't mind the revisions and suggestions. Henry: Thanks for resizing that great logo. Last edited by Eugene Church; 10-09-2003 at 11:43 AM. |
