The feature request for OOTP21 is for MLB universes to randomize teams and rotate divisions, because that’s how interleague changes from year to year in real life MLB. There are workarounds that people have suggested upthread, but I also like the suggestion.

I never knew that. Thanks! That said, there are a bunch of schedules out there that have rotating interleague match-ups.
Here's one batch. It would take very little effort to upload those and use them in a game. And it would be a whole lot quicker than waiting for improvements to the in-game scheduler.
