MHOOTPA looking to expand

The Mud Hens Out of The Park Association (MHOOTPA) has filled two existing teams and three expansion teams. We have just one slot to fill. Just think--- IT COULD BE YOU!

The league was founded in spring 2003 by a group of people that work for the world famous Toledo Mud Hens. AAA affiliate of the Detroit Tigers (The Hens stunk too). The league has grown to include some long time members of the OOTP community including a couple of OOTP developers. We are currently entering our third season (2005).

Hey Theo, first time I have seen your league. Looks nice.
Just curious, how did you come to naming a league after Flash Gilhooley? Just curious

Flash Gilhooley is from Toledo and his son Frank Jr is the long-time Mud Hens radio announcer and has been affiliate with Toledo Baseball since he was a bat boy in the 40's. All awards and leagues are named after things related to the Mud Hens. The Cy Young is called the Frank Viola Award and the Rookie of the year is the Kirby Puckett Award. The championship series is named after the first black professional baseball player Moses Fleetwood Walker who played for Toledo in 1884

Gilhooley has put together a nice little career for my Cleveland Indians franchise in the Boys of Summer league.
