Hi CD,
I stumbled upon this thread and am glad that you like the logos I made for your league. **As a note I am saying this to help you out since while not perfect you have improved on the forums and I think everyone deserves a second chance** With that being said I thought it might be insightful to tell you why I made those logos and not the others after seeing the trouble you have had getting anything made for you. I made the league logo because the name was generic enough that it could be used in a variety of different situations, there were no specifications other than the name, and last I found the concept interesting. What this means is that asking for multiple complex and specific logos of teams with obscure names will often scare people away from helping. I think using slightly more generic names could help, it also opens up the possibility that a team set could already exist that could fit your needs. So for example your Birmingham Wacky Robots idea could be changed to the Birmingham Bot Squad as a set txranger made already exists that could suit your needs. https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...0lXVFhUZmNCYWs Please don't take this as me being rude to you, as I would really like to help you as I know it can be hard when you start on the wrong foot with a group of people. All the Best, Jerrod247 |

Any constructive and clean and courteous and fair criticism is welcome, even if I may not like what certain people say immediately, or how they word that criticism, or necessarily agree with it at a particular time, et cetera, Jerrod247. I will take your thoughts into consideration here, for sure, I promise. Please stay tuned to that thread to see how I might edit the opening post for it.
As for the Bot Squad idea, it may not fit the current timeframe, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it won't fit later on, of course. It does seem rather interesting, though, to say the least. Thanks for your input and all, Jerrod and Eugene. Can't say much more right now about such things, for I have other things I need to do tonight, but expect at least a few things to be done or changed by the end of the weekend, if possible. Lord willing, and all, of course, that is. CD out.

The main colors I seem to have for the teams that already have uniforms made are as follows for each team:
Lincoln Jumping Jubilee Men: Blue, sand, green Miami Cosmic Turtles: Two shades of green, orange, blue New York Stylish Bards: Gold, red, yellow, with some purple Philadelphia Chroniclers: Red, blue, gold, white I was thinking blue, gold, black for the Wacky Robots, but perhaps the gold could be replaced by another color, like silver or gray, for instance? What do you think? I was thinking more like American-style colors for the Story-Seekers, but that isn't an absolute necessity, of course. I'm open to suggestions, to be honest, for colors. Amarillo, I'm not sure what would be best for them, but I'm willing to see what others can come up with for them, just the same. And go from there as best as I can and all, to be sure. Teal green and the other colors you suggested that could be used with it might be okay for Salt Lake City, and if I knew how to do so and how to orient them properly, I could perhaps put a patch on each sleeve, I think. And I have the images I could perhaps use for those patches, although shrinking them, if needed, might be a problem for me, if I want them to be transparent and all, of course. For San Francisco, I think maybe something like the Astros' home uniforms when they had the stripes at the bottom of their jerseys, but slanted, perhaps, might be good, with colors reminiscent of each of the Trek series up to Voyager, and with a patch or something on the right as one might see the uniform from the front, with the rest of the uniform being colored similar to a Boy Scouts-style uniform? Just a thought here. I kind of like how the Astros had their stripes in the 1980's on their home uniforms, to be honest. Maybe something with stripes running from the right shoulder to the left hip might be cool? Saga-Makers, other than what I posted, I don't really have any idea what might look good, or what I might like enough for them, so I'm open to ideas others might have for them, to be sure. Thank you for your input and all, you two. It is much appreciated, just so you know. Will have to write more later, I'm sure, Lord willing. Enjoy the rest of your nights, I hope. CD out.

No one will use the colors you want... they are too unusual... they don't look good together. If you insist on specific colors for specific teams, no one will do them for you. If you post what I told you to post in post 919, you might possible get a little help. Jarred247 told you the same thing I have been telling you for the last year... your taste in colors and nicknames are different and unusual… that's why no one does your requests. Here is what he said: "What this means is that asking for multiple complex and specific logos of teams with obscure names will often scare people away from helping. I think using slightly more generic names could help". Jarred247 is telling you to pick nicknames that most people recognize.... generic nicknames like Lions, Tigers, Panthers, Yankees, Pirates, Buccaneers, White Sox, Hurricanes, Blue Sox, Cardinals, Redbirds, Eagles, etc. Not names like Ravenous Word-Eaters, Stylish Bards, Cosmic Turtles, Trekking Scouts... you like those nicknames, but they seem silly to most people. If you want nicknames like that, you will have to do your own logos... no one will do them for you. Last edited by Eugene Church; 03-06-2020 at 09:49 PM. |

Post the simple request I wrote for you in post 919 and you might get some help.
That way a designer can create what he wants and will be more likely to help you. The colors shouldn't matter to you... the important thing is you will at least have a logo for the team... right now, you can't do logos yourself. You could take the colors used for the logos and make matching caps and jersey. Need Team Logos Only... Do them the way you want to do them... your choice of colors... jerseys have been made for four of the teams... please use those colors for the logos, too. Just try to come close to the jersey colors... see the jersey screenshots. For the other six logos, please vary the colors... don't use the colors that already have been used. Suggested Colors: (Black and Gold), (Purple and Gold), (Crimson and Tan), (Orange and Black), (Light Blue and Navy Blue), (Teal Green, Light Blue and White). BIRMINGHAM WACKY ROBOTS MIAMI COSMIC TURTLES (Blue, Green and Old Gold Colors) NEW YORK STYLISH BARDS (Red, Green and Purple Colors) PHILADELPHIA CHRONICLERS (Red, Blue and White Colors) WASHINGTON STORY-SEEKERS AMARILLO WORD EATERS DENVER SAGA-MAKERS LINCOLN JUBILEE JUMPERS (Green, Blue and Tan) SALT LAKE CITY LORE-KEEPERS SAN FRANCISCO TREKKING SCOUTS Thank you for any help you can give me... I very much appreciate it. CD Last edited by Eugene Church; 03-06-2020 at 09:54 PM. |

I am tired of answering your questions... you just can't keep anything simple and uncomplicated... just post a simple request like I wrote for you and accept the logos that they do for you... there's a remote chance that you might get a few logos. I got the feeling that Jarred247 would have done more for you if you had made simple requests for regular nicknames. |

Changes made to original post, as suggested, basically. Now we wait. I'm sorry for upsetting you again, Eugene. Been a bit rough for me of late, to be honest, in certain matters. The last chapter of my story was a real bear to work on, I have to say, but that still doesn't mean I couldn't have tried to be better with certain things here, of course.
Thank you for your time and all, for sure. You are a good friend, and I do quite appreciate honesty and kindness from people, Eugene. Honesty is a characteristic many people seem to lack at times in their lives, unfortunately. And I really appreciate the fact that you always try to be honest and fair and all with me, too, I must tell you. Take care, and may God bless you and yours abundantly, as He wills and all. I hope to see you someday in eternity when we finally see the Master face-to-face, if at all possible, too. CD out.

By the way, Jerrod247, I have Asperger's Syndrome, which makes many things often hard for me to deal with at times, including social interactions with many people, for instance. I can be rather frustrating for people at times, for various reasons, no doubt. I do pray for help and leading from God as often as I can, in terms of dealing with things and people in my life, although living with AS is a daily struggle in many ways, for sure.
Without going too far into personal details, just yet, because I don't really know you yet, I do have to say that I don't generally associate with many people outside of email or message boards or virtual worlds, et cetera, for various reasons, some that are beyond my control at the present time, which I will not go into great detail just yet here. I used to associate with a lot of people through the computer when one VW was open, but since it closed, I haven't generally associated with a lot of people other than through emails or message boards, at the very least, if not also phone calls every so often, or whenever they've come to where I live now. Thank you for your input and all, Jerrod. Again, I thank you for your earlier assistance with the Tea and Coffee Union-related logos, most definitely. CD out.

Having said that, you have made great improvement the last few months... you are now posting again in the OOTP Forums and have not upset or offended anyone... you have come a long way... maybe one day you will learn to be simple and uncomplicated in your requests. I will pray that Jesus help you do it. God bless you, my good friend. |

My feelings were not hurt by what you said, in truth, ultimately. I DO understand that. We all have our weaknesses, and sometimes we do get frustrated with other people or things in our lives, for instance, due to our still-imperfect natures. I'm quite sure I would get much more help with any number of things in life, if I somehow normally kept things simpler than not, but it's still often very hard for me to do certain things, unfortunately.
Yes, change is often difficult for me, and always has been, to date, when it comes to certain things in my life, for various reasons. Whether that will always be the case with certain things or not obviously remains to be seen, you know, in this life. I pray often that God will help others learn to be more patient with me, whether here or elsewhere in my life, and that I can learn to be more in accordance with His will and all in it, among other things I pray often in my life, whenever possible, and all. I pray quite frequently for His help in doing His will at all times and in all places with all people possible in my life, just so you know, in all seriousness and in all honesty. Thanks again for your friendship and all, Eugene. I really hope I can meet you in eternity, and I hope you and I can eventually see my dear brother in it, when and if we are able to meet the Master face-to-face finally in it, for sure. CD out.

Will also do caps, as well, if I can, especially if I know the fonts that are used either on the uniforms and/or logos. If I can use those fonts, I will, but only can use free fonts I have available to me, not payment-required fonts, for everyone's information. Would also appreciate logos I can include on caps and/or uniforms, especially when interlocking letters may be appropriate, as well, to be sure.
Please edit the relevant post to relay that information, EC. Thank you. CD out.

Don't worry about the fonts. If someone does a team logo for you, just do the best you can to match the font on the cap and the jerseys you make. Just stop posting in your Graphics Forum thread and let's see if the simplified request will get the logos you need. You can post if someone ask a question... that would be fine... but otherwise, don't make it complex and complicated... keep it simple. Last edited by Eugene Church; 03-07-2020 at 03:21 AM. |

See you later, then, I hope, Eugene. Now we wait. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some chapters for my story done reasonably well soon, before I make my next request. Not quite sure yet just how many chapters I'll be able to get done before then, but we'll see, of course, Lord willing, you know. These next few chapters may take some time, either in the writing or the research for them, after all.
Talk to you later, then, Eugene. Stay safe and all, I also hope, if you can and all. CD out.

I really like the Turtles-related logos. They are so cool! And the other logos aren't too bad either, I think, for the Bards or Chroniclers. CD out.

I hope you have learned that being simple in the instructions might get you some logos... they won't be exactly what you want, but you should get some pretty good logos. Essentially, a futuristic-looking turtle, for example, of some sort, or something that might look like a flying turtle or something. Sort of like a turtle-shaped aircraft, or spacecraft, of some kind, is what I kind of had in mind when the thought in question eventually crossed it for the first time. But the logos already provided probably may just suffice for at least 15-20 seasons of time, if not more, I think.
Thank you for your input and all, Eugene. CD out.

You need to request normal nicknames like almost everybody does... it is rare to see a strange nickname request... most of the good designers don't do unusual nicknames. That's all I was saying. |

We told you how to get and install free fonts, and mentioned places where you could get them, remember, Eugene? You may want to look for threads that mention them sufficiently often again, I think. Just a friendly suggestion, that's all. CD out.

Sorry, EC. Just trying to let you know away from where most might see what I say, because I don't think many others drop by this thread like we do. That's all.
Of course, maybe others might try checking out more of my threads in the future, for whatever possible reason or reasons, now. And you told me I could talk with you in this and/or other threads I've made, I believe. So that was what I was trying to do here, and not post needlessly in other people's threads, et cetera. That got me in a whole lot of trouble quite a bit, remember? CD out.
