Do the developers tease any player ratings prior to the release date?

I bought the full version for the first time last year and am hooked. I was just curious if they teased player / prospect ratings prior to release similar to a Madden, etc.

Not really unless you happen to catch a glimpse of a player or prospect during one of the intro streams for 21.

Individual ratings don't really matter to most especially with live update feature.

Much more focused on teasing improvements, additions, new features of the game.

That makes sense...thanks. I was just hoping to get a glimpse of how my Reds were going to look to start the year.

Not sure if you caught it, but they did a quick season sim during the livecast. The Reds spent most of the season in second place in the NL Central, but ultimately finished in third place behind the Cubs and Cards. Best I remember, they did finish three or four games above .500.

While I can't speak as to the accuracy of the standings, I felt their record was pretty close to the actual talent level. Most projections I have seen for the Reds this year, places them in the 82-85 win range.

It was said several times during the stream that the ratings were not final.
