Owner Mode

I'm not sure whether or not this is something that has already been suggested or not, but I just thought of this while driving today. I think that an owner mode would make an excellent addition to an already phenomenal game. As-is, we can play as a general manager or manager to build dynasties. What if we added another perspective to the game through the eyes of the owner. As the owner, it would be your responsibility to set budgets, allocate funds, invest in the team, build new stadiums, relocate, etc. There would be a lot of decisions in this scenario, but it would be more like running a business. You would also be in charge of hiring and firing the general manager. One thought that comes to mind for me would be the ability to set goals in your head, or possibly through the game somehow, in order to oversee the performance of this general manager. If they throw away your top prospect for a 35-year-old starting pitcher on the decline, you can give them the boot. I think that the attractive part of having an owner mode in this game is that it would target a whole other group of gamers. People who are looking for real business simulators but also have a love for sports. It could be a good way to expand this game. The foundation is already here, it just needs to be built upon. I think that, if nothing else, owner mode would be a fun alternate playthrough for this game with already seemingly endless possibilities.

That would be cool. Also, as owner, you can directly affect the team morale depending on how "meddlesome" you choose to be.

Count me in as intrigued as well.

Could also be where if you are "meddling" you can be more directly involved in high level FA signings/direction of the GM, etc.

Only if you can track teams by PROFIT. I mean that is what baseball is all about. It is a business. I may be in 4th place but if am most profitable i win
