I'd just settled down to watch the pro bowl when they mentioned it, although only a casual fan of the NBA the last few years, I just didnt feel like watching the pro bowl after that announcement.

It also appears his 13 daughter was among those aboard and died in the crash as well.

Sadly when things like this happen it's likely other family members have been involved as well.

His daughter another 13 year old girl and her parent (don't know if mum or dad) and the pilot. Geeze.

Reports are that his daughter GiGi was with him, witnesses at the scene said they heard the engine spluttering. I feel sorry for all his family, however I feel sorry his youngest, my Father died in a car crash when I was just over 2 years old, i have no memory of him and no matter what people tell you about them it isn't the same and it grinds at you through your life.

No information as to the cause. But his second oldest daughter was considered to be a talented middle school player.
He was known to frequently go between Newport Beach and Calabasas where he has a gym and basketball camp.

The kid is what made the difference with me and you now added one. That's the incredibly tragic part. Two parents with their kids and the pilot?

I remember back when Payne Stewart, around the same age I believe died tragically in a plane accident. That was sad too. It's sad, but you get over it. But when I hear their kids are on board, that takes it to a new level.

The air traffic control audio is up in few places. I’ll wait for official ruling but it sounds like CFIT is a likely cause.
