This post suggests Ballplayer Mellen (mellen001---) is called Frank. Can anyone find another source to confirm?

Also this says Ballplayer Ollam (ollam-001---) was known as Slippery Ollam.

it is in the stats folder and is part of the historical odb file

I just attempted to import the 1914 season of Frank Delahanty (delahfr01), and it appears his batting stats for his two Federal League seasons are missing. His fielding stats are there, but the batting stats only show for 1905-08.

the federal league should exist in the minor league database. is that the one you used?

Had a very strange issue with Jackie Robinson in my latest replay.
I am playing a draft. So in Dec 1946 he should appear in the draft pool. He was not there. Strange.

Did a name search and there he was, listed as a free agent.
But when I went to the free agent list he wasnt there.

I ran the draft, he was not selected. He was still a free agent not in the FA pool.
But if I clicked on his profile and manually placed him on a team, he was in the game and then played out his career.

So far this is the only player (at least star player) I have noticed this happen for,
Wanted to mention it in case it happened for anyone else

No, I used the ML one. In that case, I suppose the bug is that there are FL fielding stats on the ML database

That said, the FL being in the MiL database offends the pedant in me, so I'll ask now: what other US major leagues are incorrectly in the minor league database

?

the players and union league will be if they ever make it into the game at all.

Ramon Heredia (heredi000ram) is listed as Hispanic (which is true) but he should probably be listed as African for color line purposes (see this book) In my game, Cincinnati just purchased his contract in 1944, which would have been kind of a big deal!

it was decided many moons ago, ootp17 or so, that all Hispanics are eligible to appear in both the major leagues as well as the negro leagues.

many reasons for this and I bet you can guess most of them

Players' League -- I suppose it kind of makes sense that any third league winds up as minors, even if they were better quality than the AA (and maybe even the NL) in 1890.

Union Association -- I said "incorrectly", so they don't count

this is a feature of the world.dat file. it currently ignores states. the birthplace is correct in the database.

I scanned through this thread and did not notice these posted, so I will list them here.

There are a number of players listed as Caucasian who should be listed as African. I only noticed them when I started zooming in on the 3D gameplay.

Al Cowens
Dion James
Don Newcombe
Dave Parker
Dave Winfield

Hello.
I've run a league (historical players, fictional setup) for 31 years. All was good. Then I downloaded the Spritze database, and since then - each time I tried to draft, no historical players were imported.It shows as if it's importing, yet does not import any players.
Changed the database path, shortened it (spritze folder in documents, as opposed to documents/ootp..)
Any suggestions?
