Also, props to old timer for managing to steal zero bases with his team this week. Didn't know that was even possible. I guess those strategy sliders have more range than I thought.

So congrats mate

Obviously if you go on to win the whole thing, I must be a lucky talisman for you. Two times in the same league as you, yet you progress from really tough divisions and on to greater glory.

I want a percentage of all profits and my name on all trophies

It’s really, really hot here now so I will not post for a bit. So thank you all for a fun season. Best of luck to those left and congrats to the eventual winner

Yeah, I'm starting to think you're my good luck charm. We might even be able to beat the Bronx Bombers if you're in the same league with us. Well, maybe not.

And, the Frogs have survived two Minnesota Bold North match points to force a G7.

What do we have here?

Their 100 Red Ruffing stalemated my 100 Rube Waddell in G6 and the Frog bullpen was just a bit better than theirs. My shiny new 100 SE Buster Posey drove in 100 SE Mike Schmidt with a go-ahead single in the 9th inning off of 100 Eckersley to win it.

It'll be my 100 Ed Walsh versus their 96 Eppa Rixey for the pleasure of facing old timer's Raccoons.

On the one hand, Rixey is a LHP and I have a team of all RHB--we've damaged Rixey every time we've met (16.2 IP 13 R). That bodes well. On the other hand, my Ed Walsh has been rocked by Minnesota (11 IP 14 R vs MIN) and will have to go to war with their 100 Zack Wheat and a team that simply doesn't strike out. I peg this one as a tossup...odds are against taking 3 straight off of this Minnesota team. Maybe I should go with pitch count cheese?

If I were Minnesota, I would pull Rixey and skip ahead to the perfect Pedro impersonator, that new 100 SE Doc Gooden that shut me down once already. Shhh...

I'm proud of our guys. Getting 0 SB was a long time goal of ours (it's our 1st time!).

Just as surprising is that we had only 4 SBA all season. Suzuki got caught 3 times and Lajoie 1 time.

Welp, 4th time wasn't the charm for 'ol Ed Walsh against Minnesota. Walsh got bludgeoned for the 3rd time in 4 starts against Minnesota. Maybe I should've learned after the first 2?

Good luck to old timer in his battle to avenge me in the finals.

Was a fun week that we should do again sometime. But, maybe with a bigger group where it would be impossible to share a league with OL.

Just an FYI that we should probably unfriend each other to ensure random placement for next week.

Sorry you didn't make it. Maybe we'll meet in some future season. I'll unfriend you, but I'm not going to unfriend anyone else yet just in case they want to do this one more time? Anyone want to stay together for another season?

Potentially stupid question: how does one see one's Friends List?

One thing is for certain. Someone will be winning their 2nd PL title in a row. Minnesota and the Raccoons both finished 114-48 and their RDiff is only 3 better than the Raccoons. I think we're pretty evenly matched. Hopefully, we can avenge our frog friends.

They've got the home-field advantage. Anyone know how that's decided when neither team played each other and both had the same record? Does it use modern major league rules here? Just curious. I don't feel like it's going to be much of an advantage in this series.

Go to Main, then Perfect Team Universe followed by Managers & Rankings and then select the "Only show my friends" checkbox and refresh.

Thanks! I'm going to unfriend everyone for next week, but I wouldn't mind doing this again sometime in the future. Here's hoping if and when we do this again, the teams are spread out a little more and not, you know, clustered into a Division of Doom.

Not stupid at all, because I don't think you can "see" it in the way you mean. You can check a box to only see those on your Friends List after you type in a manager name. But, I still think you need to type something into that field and hit enter first. It's not like there's this trophy room that displays all your PT friends like it does your card collection. Could probably use a "show all Friends" button on that screen.

No problem. I thought it was a nice opportunity to compare some pretty similar (and successful) teams. I also re-uploaded because the original had a typo or 3 in it.

Good question. I don't really know. It could be run differential if they are +3 on you there.

Thanks for the tip. Works well.

It dawned on me that this wasn't working for me before because I had already cleaned out the Friends List.

And the losing pitcher in game 1 of the Perfect League Series (Minnesota 2, Evergreen Forest 1), is...Tom Seaver.

The Raccoons are now down 2-0 to Minnesota. We lost the 1st one to Doc Gooden (the SE) 2-1. We then lost 3-2 in the 2nd one. Wheat hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th vs Smoltz to win that one. So both were close, but close isn't good enough. Hopefully, we can rebound in the Evergreen Forest.

Yeah, wasn't a great year for the Seaver card overall, but ours did pretty well. I added Smoltz mid-season to help out and he did. He helped Minnesota out in the 2nd game.
