Salary Cap Question

I have never played with the salary cap option but I am thinking about doing it. Has anyone tried this? How was your experience? Does the AI do a good job compared without the cap?

I've always played with revenue sharing as opposed to a cap. I don't know this for a fact, but I would think a cap would limit the type of trades that rebuilding teams need to make (veterans for prospects, to jump start the building of a young core), and win now teams need to make (that veteran player that pushes them over the top without sacrificing the players that are more "win now" types on the roster). I've jacked it up to 50% this year. No, I'm not a communist. I just see MLB as the corporation, and the individual teams as franchises of the corporation, and I think the corporation does better when more of its franchises are succeeding.
