When are contents of packs determined?

When are the contents of packs determined, when you buy them or when you open them? I currently have 50 packs to open. Are the contents already determined? I'm trying to see if I should wait to open in case cards are added after the World Series or just open them now.

Cards are only generated when you open the pack

Hey Snaggle, I opened a Diamond pack maybe 30 minutes ago.....I have to assume if you buy a diamond pack you get a guy rated as a diamond at the time the pack is opened, right?

You need to update your card cache. Woodruff is a 90.
