OOTP5 Crashing With 5.13 patch

I've mentioned this in the patch thread, but with no response there, I'm going to bring it up here and hope somebody responds to it.

My custom league has 16 teams, one division in each league, 8 teams in each division. Randomized cities, initial dispersal draft with no fictional minor leaguers filling the minor league systems.

Here's the error message when I go to "Manager Screen"

And for the record, yes, I've re-downloaded and re-installed the patch, and the game continues to crash.

yeah i've been experiencing a LOT of crashes as well. i was in the middle of a huge playoff sim for a league i'd been into for a while when all of a sudden the game crashed. when i tried to reopen the league it said "invalid player file". now THAT pissed me off....

Me too. Coming up on the trading deadline in a league I had played out game by game into 2006....trade offer e-mail comes in, and whether I chose YES or NO to stop the sim and read the e-mail, the game would lock up. Then, after this happened several times, I got the "Invalid Player File" error message. Am I screwed?

HP Pavilion 513C running Windows XP Home version
1.8ghz Intel Celeron processor
256 mb ram
40gb HD with 13GB free

I did notice a severe slowdown playing out a game just prior to the crashes.

Other than that - with all patches, I have had ZERO crashes. Got ootp 5.13 and this happens, so I have to think the new patch has at least SOMEthing to do with it...
