Now that the NLCS is set, who is going to represent the NL in the World Series.

I am a fan so the appropriate disclaimer applies, but I really think the Cubs will win this.
Florida made it this far on the strength of solid across the board pitching and a good enough, but not great, offense. The Cubs have not one, but two, aces pitching at the top of their game right now. The Marlins have zero. Sure, they have good pitchers, five good starters in fact, but none are in the same league as Wood and Prior. If the Cubs get three wins from those two, this series is over and I see no reason why that shouldn't be predicted at this point.

The series is best of 5 now?
It's hardly "series over" ...remember they'd still need to win another game some how. I do agree the Cubs will probably win, I just wanted to pick on that statement.

![]() What I meant, and failed at getting apparently, was that if they get three of four when those guys start the odds of them winning one of the other four possible games are very, very good.

Yeah, I've got to agree that the Cubbies are going to take this one, but only because of Dusty Baker. He knows how to get the most out of his veterans and really brings out the intangibiles in his players.

I think the Cubs will make it to the series also, although it pains me to say it. Once they make it there, I don't think they can beat any of the remaining AL teams.

I have to hope the Marlins win, but I have seen what they do when they face superior pitching. They can beat up on average to good pitching, but when it comes to great pitching they lose something. I am hoping they can push it to 7 games and then it could be anybody's game. Lets go Marlins, but I think the Cubs have the Best chance at winning.

I think the Cubs are going to fulfill their side of the Cubs-Red Sox deal. Let's see if the Sox can even get past round 1 now.

My objective guess is that the Cubs will win, but I'm definitely not rooting for them.

That won't stop me from rooting for them. Besides the Marlins love it when they are the underdog. But I won't be Upset for long if the Marlins lose. It might be time for the Cubs to actually do something.

I guess this poll just goes to show that Jeff Conine's got a LOT of dinners to pay for over the next few days.

Oh man the fish really lucked out this year. I mean they had all of their top starters the whole year. People like Mike Lowell and A. J. Burnett did not get hurt and they played in front of the largest crowds every night. They played in the weakest division where the second place team would have been last place anywhere else. Then when they got to the playoffs they got an easy opponent in the first round. I mean it was the San Frisco Giants, when was the last time they won a National League Pennant? Man the Marlins had the easy road to the playoffs, and now that they are there it keeps getting easier.
