Just installed 5.13--OOTP5.exe notice comes up

I created a new customed league and installed 5.13 patch and did the following:

Simmed one month at a time for two months to set league totals...reset league and erased career records...repeated this again.

Game seemed to work fine.

Then tried to sim for one season until the playoffs.

Game would not work....on screen was "OOTP5. exe problem...restart computer".

Did restart but same thing showed up.

I compared the bad game folder with the backup folder...the bad one had two more items than the backup...."glog" and "records"...everything else the same.

I went to 5 other leagues created before this new league and they work fine with the 5.13 patch...although I only simmed a few games...a day or a week.

I checked to make sure all teams had complete lineups in the new league...they did...no players missing.

All teams had 9 pitchers and a pitching rotation.

All pitchers were listed as SP.

Anyone have any ideas what caused this?

Not very knowledgeable with computers.

My computer is a Dell Dimension 8200
Microsoft Millenium Edition
X86-based PC
Processor: Intel(R)Pentium(R)4CPU 1.80 GHZ Genuine Intel 1795 MHZ
37.2 GB Capacity
27.6 GB Free

I got this info from System Tools...most of it is greek to me...except for capacity.

Have not had any computer problems with the game previously..only my ignorance.

Is this what you wanted?

I have a backup of this league on Drive D. Should I copy it to the C Drive folder and see if it works?

I tried to play an exhibition game and got to the point to where you could play...tried to sim the game and it froze...Control/alt/delete did not work....just had to turn computer off.

I would try that, also when I ran windows ME I had to reboot my PC regularly just so that I can run various programs so rebooting might help.

ME has never been a problem...I regularly use Wizard Maintenance regularly as instructed.

I did not list the pinch hitters...left it blank in the depth charts...Could this do it?

Ok, you may want to check that league and make sure that:

-Two positions aren't listed twice in the same lineup.
-The same player isn't listed twice.

OK, I'll check to see if a player is listed twice in the lineups.

Hope this is it...I have spent 50 hours on this new league and really hate to do it all over again.

I copied the backup and used it...same thing happened.

Can this league be corrupted?

All my other leagues work with 5.13...don't think it's the problem...and am not aware of any computer problems when I do anything other than the game.

Is there any way to salvage this league with its player rosters?

You can try using Pierre's importer to move the players.
