Whew! Another close one in game 7, which we won 3-2 (there were 5 1-run games). So now it's on to the WS to face the Bombers (the Raccoons and Bombers were the top two teams in wins, with the Bombers having 11 more). They scored 1069 runs with 243 HRs so their team name seems appropriate. Even though they were 1st in RA, I don't think their pitching is as strong as ours, but they definitely have a much better offense.

I like when the WS involves 2 teams that didn't play each other like with us and the Bombers. I guess I both like interleague play (since we get a chance to play more teams) and dislike it at the same time.

Just noticed this....

It was a pretty fast start in the Central Division, but I was figuring that it would end up as Exeter against Brooklyn in the Series, but I'm enjoying the updates on the series as the KC A's (who I thought had no business in the series are up 3-2 on Exeter.)

Beauty of baseball!

We somehow swept a far more expensive 110 win team in the LCS to get there. But yeah I'm quite surprised too.

We ran out of steam and lost to Exeter in 7. Both my f2p teams have lost game sevens in perfect.

Oh well theres always next year.

It's funny you posted, I was waiting for the update to run, and I took a call before coming to post. Was pulling for you all the way in the series! You were going to be the ultimate giant slayer! It's awesome to see some of those upsets, that team of destiny thing, where you really believe that it's not just numbers, it's a real team!

Cheers!

The Raccoons might get a 2nd title, but they're not going to get it easily. After 5 one-run games in the LCS, we won the 1st game of the WS 4-3 and then lost 5-4. We lost the 2nd game with one out in the bottom of the 9th, when 99 Eck gave up a solo HR to Arenado. That's the 2nd post-season game Eck has blown so I changed him from a stopper role and replaced him in that role with Sutton.

Today we'll be playing in the Evergreen Forest with Keefe vs Brooklyn's Hubbell.

It's coming down to a game 7 for me also. I saved Schilling to pitch it. He has either Pete Alexander or Rube Marquard rested. Doesn't matter to me.

I guess the OOTP servers think it's funny. I really need to get to sleep and almost 10 minutes after the hour game 7 of the world series sits on "Simulating".

The last sim of the season always takes 10-15 minutes to update. That's how I knew I lost game 6 (it came up right away).

The Bombers rounded up an amazing year, we finished the season 140-22, we had a bit of a scare on the NLCS, but ultimately won game seven.

We faced a great team in the WS but we had no resistance and came back with a sweep. Cy Young ended up with 32-1 1.93 ERA and not only won the award he named but also won MVP, great season all around for the Bombers.

Young 32-1... wow! Congrats on a great season.

The Raccoons won game 3 over the Bombers, 7-4, but then lost game 4 to their weakest SP, Doc Gooden, 5-0. So the back and forth continues. We've got Schilling (this is what I paid you for, so don't blow it!) going against Chandler.

Even for a great team like yours, this is amazing. I'm glad you got a WS win out of it. And 32 Ws for Young?! I've never seen that many before. Congratulations!

Just curious, what was your RDiff?

The Colonels took a 1-1 into the ninth on the road, but lose 2-1 as Bruce Sutter gave up a walk-off single to A-Rod. Heartbreaking loss, but I would rather get that close and lose than go down in the early rounds.

Thank you!

This was our best PL season no doubt, but it was also the weakest... Antarctica Penguins and Battery Park had amazing teams but I didn't have to worry about them until the WS, those two teams however are both going places, both above 700 WPct.

Here's the final RDiff for the top teams:
