Swept 3-0 in the DS by a excellent team, can't even be mad

Top goal achieved, I think, with the Division win and Playoff appearance. Equally my Stunners team in Perfect had a strong finish to avoid relegation, which is pretty much their best-case scenario too.

So, I think both will now look to move a few perennial All-Stars for potential rebuilds, though I'm not sure what my new themes will be just yet.

(Bob's Milwaukee All-Stars are becoming the Milwaukee Northern Alliance this off-season )

Paragon City Heroes beat the Philadelphia Quakers in 4, after the series got tied at 1 our pitchers shut it down, allowing 1 run in the last 2 games. There were only 3 hr hit in the series all from our opponents, all in the game they won. Harry Heilmann was series MVP despite getting zero RBI. moving on to play the Palatine Plutos who have beaten us 5-2 in the regular season my Bill Singer goes up against his Old Hoss in the 1st game, could be tough as his lineup beat up my starters during the regular season

Bad News Bulldogs won game 163 but couldn't win the WC game, they will be back stronger next season

Neuman Furshlugginers snuck into a WC spot and won 8-3 behind a strong Aguirre performance, they then lost the 1st game of the Divisional series but rallyed to allow just 4 runs in the next 3 games against a team that had beaten us 5-2 in the regular season, Daniel Murphy was series MVP hitting .500 with 2 HR. We are going up against a team led by Duke Snider and Charlie Morton in the next round who we swept in 2 series in the regular season

Frogs won the wild card game against the 107-win Hamden Express. But, went down 3 games to none against the 125-win Collingwood Magpies.

Not a bad outcome for today. Hoping to be placed in a whale-free division next week.

The Raccoons squeaked past the Las Vegas Aces and will now play the Summit Dirigibles. We were 1st in R and 2nd in RA, while they were 2nd in R and 1st in RA. We won 115 while they won 114 and our RDiff was 339 to their 332. We played pretty even in the season series too and I expect the same again.

We came from behind in the 1st game to win 4-3. Nolan Ryan came in and walked in 2 R allowing us to tie it in the bottom of the 8th, then we got 3 straight hits off of Clarkson (who had 51 SV) to give us the 4-3 win.

Schilling will pitch next for us. So far he's 0-2 since I picked him up. He'll be facing Lefty Grove. Oddly, we went 33-8 .805 vs LHP this season (.678 vs RHP), but I really don't think we have an advantage against LHP in spite of those numbers.

I really like the greater variety of team rosters I'm seeing these days. For example, the Dirigibles have a very good negro themed offense (I guess there aren't enough negro league pitchers?). They seem to have all the top players like Josh Gibson, 100 Robinson, Charleston, etc.

Haven't been following PT much this week as I'm really waiting for tournaments. I see I'm battling Chico in the NLCS....not a surprise, he has a great team.

The YakAnglers finish at 83-79 and looked to be a lock for the playoffs in late Sept. but close out the season losing 10 of 11, a few games back of the Wildcard. Tim Raines hit .280 with 16 Hrs and 58 SBs. Jeff Bagwell had a turrible season, hitting .220 and 5 hrs.

The Marathoners didn't get a good draw of leagues but survived with a decent showing and 77 wins. There was 5 teams with over 120 wins and a wildcard team with 102. Four other teams were over .500 with everyone else struggling to survive. Did get my first Diamond out of pack in what seems like weeks, and it was 96 Peak Eddie Mathews. Not the greatest pull but it was nice to finally get something.

The Miners (95 wins) win a season long division battle with the Dallas Stars (94 wins) and the Anacreon Aurochs, who led for most of the season but faded late and won 81. The Miners were quickly and thankfully knocked out of the playoffs 3-1 by the AzAxles Uber Squirrels. Another season or two in Diamond wouldn't hurt this team at all.

RNGjesus giveth, then RNGjesus taketh away and add mocking laughter...

There will be no harpooning of whales today, as I got RNG'ed by an 84-win team.

As happy as I am for the Patriots to finally escape silver, this was a massively lost opportunity, and I'm very angry about it.

Just gonna have to win 110+ next week and win the whole f'ing thing.

Saints are in the World series again facing the Orlando Calrissians.

My squad has Buck Ewing leading off.

I don't understand why you have Babe playing 1B and Yaz playing LF. Wouldn't your defense be better if they switched?

Yaz is a 70 in LF while Ruth is a 55.

The Colonels are in the World Series for the second straight week. We play the Whatever Whatever (yep, that's right). My offense is slightly better and their pitching is slightly better, so it could be a close series. I had to use Schilling twice in the sub-league series, so he will pitch game 3 and 7 if needed. Perfect Cy Young gets the call for me in game 1 with Tim Keefe going in game 2.

Yeah, but isn't Babe a zero at 1B?

Moalkha, sorry to bounce your Oilers from the playoffs. While this is the Dolphins 9th consecutive playoff appearance at Perfect level, it is actually our first World Series appearance. Maybe the crucible that was the NC West prepared us well for the playoffs! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed.

He trained up to 52 which is where he sits now. Not great but I have a hitters park and Ted Williams is the full time DH so I had to get him there somewhere.

I have to lean on infield defense so it's not ideal but it's the Bambino.....what else can a guy do?

Opening game starts in 15 minutes...my 99 Walter Johnson versus his 100 Clemens, a card I am very familiar with as he'll start game two for me.

As expected, it's a close one so far with the Dirigibles. We're tied 2-2 and 3 of the 4 have been decided by 1 run, with 2 of those coming in the last at bat. Schilling will start for us next against 100 Maddux (he won the opener vs Maddux).

Edit: We won game 5 10-3, but lost game 6 1-0 so the final game will be our Keefe vs 100 Seaver. The winner will play the 126 W Brooklyn Bombers (recent winners of 3 straight perfect titles). The Bombers are a very good team, but I think the Raccoons and Dirigibles match up well with them so it could be another close series regardless of who advances. Good luck to those who remain!

The Magpies rally from being down 3 games to 1 and win the LCS despite GM Bailey bungling the starting rotation. The win creates the rare situation of the two winningest teams in the league meeting in the finals.

Despite Brooklyn's failure to overcome an apparent 84-win juggernaut, I do have two teams that made it to their sub-level series. The Blitzkrieg Boppers, who secured back to back promotions, are set for a Gold-level series duel with the Elizabethton Twins.

The New York Patriots, they of the 11-weeks in silver hell fame, are taking on the Pillsbury NoDough Boys. I expect both series to go at least 6 games, and if RNGjesus knows whats good for it, will have me come out of top both times.
