16 seasons for my last 4 packs. (8 versions of 27 yanks playing 27&28) but didn't get my first pack until season 15, then 3 in season 16 alone. Took 4 hours... Oh well. *shrug* good luck in your adventures fellow PTers.

I think Challenge Mode must just hate you.

You can make it even easier to get the achievments by tweaking a few of the rules (Color barrier) and signing/trading (Turkey Stearnes/Roy Parnell), after you have made your roster as overpowered as possible then save. Sim your season but never save again, either get your achievement or finish season then crash game, and repeat. My save file team is so good they never do worse than 75% win rate and its a pretty much guaranteed pack after 1 season.
Worth trying to get Lefty Grove, i was able to get him for Koenig and Meusel. Last edited by Semtextual; 07-17-2019 at 05:52 PM. |

Im confused... If there is a 72 hr cool down, how can you get 3 packs in 1 season? (unless you simmed that season over a week and a half)

That being said I've pretty much given up on Challenge Mode packs. Ran it for like half an hour yesterday and only got a pack for 1 of my teams. Figured it's no longer worth my time. Did end up getting a 98 Rob Dibble during my Challenge Mode career... that was my best pull over a few months. RIP Challenge Mode for packs, I'll play regular OOTP with that time instead. |

I think it's worthwhile to run if you can multi-task it while doing another (main) activity. For instance, I play various F2P digital card games and there are a lot of waiting on my opponent's turn. So, I just run OOTP on the side. Sim them until it's my turn in the card game, play that, and back to simming.
I can totally understand it being not worthwhile of one's time otherwise. As a F2P, I appreciate the chance to get free packs though. |

It would be worth the time if you could just sim the whole season and not have to keep hitting "next week". Bonus points if the sim stopped when you earned a pack. But I guess that's a lot to ask given that we're all not really earning the Challenge Mode packs in the way the developer intended.
Anyway, I've given up on my Wednesday/Sunday timeline and it's liberating. |

There's no way I would do it for more than one team. Twice a week is all I need to satisfy a pack opening fix. How else am I going to add 5 random irons and a bronze to my roster?

I remember someone posting that you could see the 72 hr cool down clock. Is that true and if so, where can I see it ? Thanks!

Sounds like me when I quit some games that I kept playing for a while due to sunk-cost fallacy. Now I am all for pulling the quit trigger if you are not enjoying it. I am very casual with my pack earning. If I forget for a few days, I don't mind. I just get them whenever I remember. I once thought about it's not worth it, but browsing this board I see people opening good stuff from those packs and I just keep giving myself (relatively false) hope. |

My time is worth money, if I gotta spend an hour it would be a helluva lot cheaper to just buy it.

There is no clock to view. You have to remember to do it yourself. You can go into your transaction history to view the date/time the previous challenge mode pack was awarded. Then manually add 3 days onto that.
