Would be hilarious if the penalty was to destroy your top 10 cards including the stuff you are hiding.....then enjoy your free fall...can you imagine the ire when you paid 3-400 bucks for top players then violated the TOS and got your cards deleted. I'd die laughing.

There wasn't a standard thread to discuss it so I figured a single thread for it might make sense. Everything else was specific examples.

Oh I think you'll find MANY more examples over time in this thread going forward. There is a distinct lack of integrity in life these days in everything it seems. This game is no different.

Alternative to suggested punishment: strip their rosters and replace them with all 40 rated cards, and reduce their points to 0.

Don't blame the player, blame the game. The devs have to find ways to prevent stuff like that. People will always find loopholes and right know a blind man can see them from miles away.

If you don't want people to use certain cards then these cards shouldn't be in the game or you need stricter roster rules. Simple as that. There are so many other games out there with similar problems, just take a look how they try to fix it.

Create different pools of cards that are allowed at every level for example or let people submit rosters that are locked before the season and then use an algorithm to put teams that are equally strong in the same league.

It's like wondering how to fix those problems when they've been fixed hundreds of times by other games already

Exactly. If you don't want people to use cards in a certain way then don't put it in the game. Every other game has figured this out within the game itself and not resorting to a community watch calling out people who aren't playing the game "right".

In ultimate team you can do whatever you want with your cards because there is an actual ladder system that incentivizes winning.

Hey read the terms of service before you run off your mouth. Rules...there are some you know. Just because YOU want it to be whatever you want it to be doesn't make it so.

RIght now the setup is (1) report the team, and (2) let the Devs take care of it. I'm ok with that. If we HAVE TO HAVE a hard set rule, let the game add up OVR on the first day of the season and not allow the active roster to fall below some magic number for the duration of the season - maybe 75%. Problem solved.

I am surprised at your lack of understanding. Rules are rules. Sorry pal. The auction stuff is a different thing, I can call out joke stuff all I want. Sorry you don't like it. people can't even agree on the rules because they are so vague, and even if they weren't it's still a valid question why some people care so much about other players "breaking" them in a way that has no impact to them at all.

What you two said is exactly why I have no problem with this thread being created. We are raising awareness here on this being a problem. If the dev prefers to not have these threads, then solve it by PT 3.0 or make a statement that they will be trying to solve it by PT 3.0 in this thread. Until then, people are free to discuss about this.

It doesn't affect me per say but I would be pissed to see a C student sleep their way to an A while I work hard and only get a B in college. Does the C student getting A affect my B at all? No, not really. Am I not happy about it? Yes.

Also, if I see someone robbing a store, I sure hope that dude get caught and I will be happy to see the police arrest that man right in front of my eyes. I have zero relation to the store and the whole robbing doesn't affect me at all, but I still feel something about the robbery itself.

I would also argue that a sport team winning a championship does nothing to the fans' personal life as well, but they all seem to be very happy and celebrate others' achievements. People care about other people and stuffs happening around them even if they have no effect on their own life, I think that's a given. The parameter is "how much they care". Expecting everyone to go 0 on that is crazy.

As someone who has been accused of tanking, I still contend that the TOS is not sufficient. While the extremes are easily identifiable, we still have no clue where the line between legal and illegal gameplay rests. The rules need more specificity and clarification on what is and what is not appropriate.

I called this language training at the Defense Language Institute (which is an accredited university, unlike the CCAF or other such entities loosely affiliated with the military which are not). The polyglots could absorb languages in their sleep while us poor SOBs with limited ability had to struggle through endless assignments, study halls, and tutoring, leaving no time to actually focus on our military responsibilities. Some of the smartest people I've ever met (including a cousin) got rocked out and forced to sit in a missile silo or take on other terrible specialties they didn't sign up for and never wanted.

Welcome to the real world. Life sucks, then we die. In between, we lead miserable worthless lives that are periodically interrupted by the next sim needing to be downloaded. Karmic utopias where everyone gets what they are owed do not exist.
