Historical Draft Value Parameters?
I'm not new to the game, but I have not done much editing to historical drafts. I just stumbled across the Historical Draft Value for each player and am wondering what the parameters for it are? I see zeroes for some players and pretty much assume that's because they never did anything historically. But the highest number I have seen so far is 5322 for Roger Clemens (I'm editing the 1983 draft class). What is the highest number I can use for this value? Thanks in advance.

barry bonds has the highest at 17,039 but only 4 players over 10,000
40th best player is at 5578 so it goes down quickly

Good to know, thanks. Also, any reason as to why the numbers don't stay? I've edited a few players with no historical values -- changed their names, vitals, historical values, etc. -- and everything but the historical values stay changed. I can go back into a player's profile after editing them and the historical value I gave them is gone.

the historical odb files are not editable nor edible.
all changes will revert to history as the game progresses

those draft classes are contained in the odb files so most of your changes will only stick for a very short time. they get overwritten. some items will stick but only a few.

Gotcha. So I guess my best bet is to delete the real historical players and just go with fictional ones and edit them instead.
