Ways to speed up simming and have the game run smoother?
I'm just wondering what people do to speed up the game. What settings do you change? What reports do you turn off? Etc. I'm playing on an older computer and most times when i sim it says (not responding) then finishes the sim.

One of the first things I always do is set pictures to MLB players only, and turn off baseball cards.
I've also found that any time I customize a league it runs slower than just a standard quick start MLB game. |

Probably the single most effective thing is to minimize the number of foreign leagues.

Is that something that can be done even after you have already started a game? Or only when you create your initial settings?

Another big thing to speed things along is to make sure your FA pool doesn't grow too large. If it is growing could be worth it to go in and retire/delete all the really crappy players. |
