Average goals per game

Just wondering if anyone adjusted the average goals per game
each season to keep each era roughly the same as far as production

Example:

Keep the average at 6 goals a game for each season, no matter
what decade it is

It'll work, I did something similar a couple of years ago with 1980's scoring levels in every season. You do have to keep manually entering it every year, and it's also a good idea to adjust the average power play chances as well, since those used to be a lot higher than they are now and that'll have an effect on the goal totals.
