New Roster not showing correct

I've done the update, and have created numerous saves, trying to get the new updated rosters (notably, Adley Rutschman on the O's)

I've started a new standard game, he's still a college player.

Then a quickstart MLB 2019, he's in college.

Then a quickstart Majors, still college.

Am I missing something?

You are missing something, but easy to fix. When you start a new game, make sure you click on the box titled "Live Start" that starts the game on today's date (or whichever the date is when you choose to start your new game). It will have all of the updated standings, stats, and players (more or less).
