Advancing a League at the Start
I have seen several people talk about about simming a league forward multiple years before they start playing it so the league has a history when they start.
How does one do this? |

Set your self to be unemployed. Make sure you uncheck stop sim for messages and then under the PLAY tab there will be several options. Sim to specified date is the one you want. Then pick a day hit go and let it rip :-). You may want to do it in chunks so you can make sure it is generating stats that you like and such.

I just did that with a new P/R league that I created. I started it in 2014 and simmed until after the 2018 season. I did a year at a time so I could do the promotion relegation manually (what is the point of a playoff in a P/R setting if the champion doesn't get promoted?)
One team won the 4th division title and then the 3rd division title and jumped up to the 2nd division, but things have really settled down now. I took a mid-table 4th division team and in my 3rd year, looks like I will have a good chance of promoting it this season, but it has been a lot harder than when I took of from a fresh build.
