You have to use a graphics program. And then just play around with it for a while. That's how I learned to place the lettering on the caps and jerseys. I use the microsoft paint program that comes with most computers. I also use IrfanView (free program) for file coversions and simple effects. Also, just picked-up a new font program called FontTwister (not free). It's great for creating effects with lettering. I'll be using it to update the jersey lettering. I want the lettering to curve on some of the jerseys.
By the way, I no longer use the fiction man face graphics for my player photos. I use a program called FaceGen (free demo) to custom create faces. All of the player faces on my site were created with that program. Last edited by DreamTeams; 09-30-2003 at 06:03 PM. |

The demo can be downloaded for free. You get unlimited use of it. But, there are some things turned off until it's registered (purchased), like exporting and saving and some other high powered stuff. Still, only the basics are needed and that's what you get in the free download. So, you can just create the face, resize it and then use a screen capture (or print screen button on your keyboard). Then you'll need to crop it with another graphics program and over-lay the cap and uni onto it.

Depends on the program you're using. In microsoft paint use the opaque feature when trying to overlay.
Most of the ficman pictures where made from scratch. I took elements from different faces and mereged them together. I took a lot of time and effort. I recommend FaceGen as the easiest way to create custom faces. |
