Any fathers putting your son in the game?
I usually try really hard not to cheat when I'm in commissioner mode. But the one exception to that is that I always create my son as a player. And watch him develop through the minors and arrive on my mlb team. Of course he's Harper/Trout good. Any other dad's or mom's do that or something like it?

I always put my stepson on a college feeder team, make him a pitcher and give him above average ratings, and then watch what happens.

i made a knuckleballer named Talo Pila, once. i'm sure it's poorly translated latin, but should be 'knuckle' and 'ball'
in years past with different games i've put friends/family in games before, sure. |

I did this all the time in 6.5 when we could get married and have kids. Then there was an opportunity to draft your kids.
Bring it back Markus!!!Please!!!! |

that homerun distribution over his career is a bit disturbing, lol.
is that due to different league modifiers and totals? That's what i don't like abou the way it's setup, if so. the same players could be swapped, and it'd still happen with same exact competition, and that just boggles my mind how that can be though of as a rational way to do it. a decision made far too long ago to fix now, lol. |

I created my son Jr in my fictional league in ootp 19 around the year 2039 when he will be 21 (forgot to do it sooner).
Boosted his stats to be a star sp. Went no 1 overall and then cost me a small fortune to trade for him. Hes been pretty good during the regular season but has struggled during the post season. I've considered making a move but haven't yet.. Great post btw Last edited by Clavette; 04-18-2019 at 07:18 PM. |

I always create my son and my younger brother (2 years old & 13).
I make their potential "legendary" and let the game create them as it will. The only things I change are make sure they are not too injury prone, and to make sure they're not a clubhouse cancer. I do this ever save I start. Only once have I gotten to draft either one (my son) and in that save he left baseball to pursue a career in football...lol |

I remember that version, think you could date, propose marriage, get divorced even if I'm remembering correct. I'd keep dating until I found a girl's name I liked. You could have a kid and wait for them to age enough to get drafted. You kind of had a manager side story line going on besides baseball, but they got away from that and never developed it more, because it is a baseball manager not the Sims I guess.
