Had one recently that I thought was pretty remarkable as it went into extra innings, remained scoreless, visiting team scored 3 runs and the home other team matched 3 runs in the 14th, then a few more scoreless innings, then each matching 1 run in the 18th, then finally a walk off HR in the 22nd or so. Any of the crowd that hadn't fallen asleep or left was in for a real nail biter.

i think there's a good suggestion to come from this...

maybe allow a SP to enter after 9th and not act like an RP stamina / elevated stuff role. not unheard of in RL.. then they deal with a call-up or some other solution before decimating entire bullpen.

although, my lineup sure does like seeing position players pitch, lol.

he would have had the stamina of an RP, though. so, he'd be tired by ~40-ish pitches as opposed to whatever his fatigue recovery was at that time (if no extra day off, likely ~80-87% as opposed to ~100%)

they might have to add the 'stretching out' dynamic to avoid abuse, though. it needs a couple more layers of sophistication to cover all the dynamics for a long extra inning game -- at the very least, it happens seldomly, so not a huge impact.
