Request Scouting Report

Does it actually do anything? Ive never noticed it changing my scouts view, it'd be cool if it did, it seems like a half coded game mechanism they forgot to actually make useful

I can confirm that it can change a scout's view on the player's potential. Long story short: took a 5 star potential catcher in rule 5 draft, two months later my scout downgraded him to 3.5 stars potential, few days later requested a scouting report because I was pissed he got downgraded without stepping on the field, got downgraded again to 3 star potential from 3.5 from the scouting report.

ratings can change at least weekly... the first year i owned it, it occured on wednesday each week. may be relative to start of year, though. day #1, #8 may not be wednesday each year.

I always request a scouting report before I decide to trade for a player mostly because i'm paranoid and want to make sure the report is accurate, i dont think i've ever seen it change the ratings of a player though
