Money for Extensions
I understand that this is for available funds next year. But I was just cycling through January to get to spring training and I noticed it dropped and I hadn't done anything. What could cause this?

Did your owner lower this year's budget lowering the projection for next year's budget?

I looked at Money for Extensions in December and then brought up the salary screen to see who I wouldn't be extending contracts/arbitration for so I had an idea what my FA budget was for next year. So everything had been done, I made no trades or financial transactions and there were no messages but the amount available dropped.

It is kind of an estimate. Especially with the arbitration numbers. The arbitration estimate can change. Especially if you don't buy out the year early and then you start the season and the player explodes.
The other thing is fan interest. If fan interest drops it drops estimated attendance which drops estimated revenue. |

That make sense-- can see now how the number could fluctuate. Thanks.

Especially if you checked it before the clock ticked over the year. So if you checked it in December before new years when everyone's service time changes then the accounting estimates can be off.

Yup, think that's what happened.
