DH Player Substitution

I had both of my third basemen in the game, one playing the position and the other the DH. I subbed out the player for a pinch hitter, and changed the DH to 3b, but the program didn't have an option to make the subbed in player the DH. In fact, I couldn't make any of the players the DH at that point, so I was stuck and had to exit the game.
