Schedule Generation Problems

I'm clearly doing something wrong here, but I can't figure out how to generate a schedule that actually works. I've got an 8-team league, no divisions, no sub-leagues. I tried 126 games because I thought with 3-game series, each team would play each other team 18 times. The schedule is generating with different numbers of games for each team. I tried importing a schedule but it won't allow me and I also tried 120 for the hell of it and no luck. Any help?

Do you have “balance schedule selected”? (Same tab where you tell it the number of games for the year). Do not know if that is your problem but you might check it.
Also might check the mod section to see if there is a schedule there.

Just tried checking and unchecking that box. Schedule still generates with only 3 games a day instead of 4 for some reason.

That is weird, hope someone else has an idea.

Also, under "Schedule loaded from file:" it lists an 84 game schedule.

I never use the OOTP schedule generator so I can't help with that. Have you tried one of these schedules? Looks like there might be one specifically for what you need.

You need to provide more information. When are you trying to generate the schedule? Is it during the pre-season? When you say that the game won't allow you to import a schedule, how is it not allowing you to do that? Is it giving you an error message?

If you're in OOTP20, the game should automatically load one of the four schedules that is currently in your schedule folder and that matches your criteria (1 subleague, 8 teams, 126 games). Have you made any changes to your schedule folder? Did you try importing one of those schedules?
