Automatic defense positioning

Hello,

I usually play all my team games play-by-play. So most of the time is a little tedious to change the position of my infield/outfield depending on the batter type. I guess it would be great to have an option in the game to do this automatically (a toggle). Unless there is already a way to do it and it's a little hidden somewhere?

This option does exist, I don't know if it's new or not, I only found it for the first time in this game. When you go into a game before you click "Start Game" under general game options there is a setting for "AI Sets Initial Defense" and this will have fielders automatically shift if there is a heavy left handed pull hitter for instance, among other defensive options. It's worked out for me so far

You are completely right, I just tried and it worked! In my opinion de label of the option was not very clear, but now that I know how it works, it makes more sense.

i wish it would allow you to keep the defensive setup that you set after the initial plate appearance. it would be great if the ai could adjust to this.
