While we're discussing possibly new things: I saw a guy today with high Adaptability. Is that a new personality trait or have I just never noticed it before?

It's not new but it's being brought to the front more. Think Devs said it's about like changing teams stuff like that

Dude was a RP, so I thought perhaps it related to adapting to new roles. a la opener.

it's a silly strategy depending on who has to submit the information first...
you could simply re-arrange your batting order so the "opener" faces the weakest hitters, then a normal "1-4..." after that. how many to place? 2-3? no idea, but some rational thought applied to quantitative data wouldn't be difficult to pinpoint how many you should move up. now, i think that's based on home and away? so at least half the time it'd be detrimental to have an opener. the advantages can be mitigated to some extent. just liek shifts... if some players weren't r%tards, they'd take what was offered every time. the more extreme shifts would go the way of the dodo. but, sophistication is on a downward trend, at least in the u.s. i can't speak for elsewhere, but europe isn't doing so hot, either... between brexit and the crazies getting elected in the eastern and south eastern portions of europe, the so-called more mature and sophisticated continent isn't acting as such, lol. (my money is on them over us pulling through it, though) |
