Carrying only long relievers(besides starters)

How do I go about doing that(in commish mode) because almost every game I play it's a parade of relief pitchers and would only like too see 2 maybe 3 relievers at the most(per game).

What's the OOTPP definition of long reliever?

If you still have use of relief pitchers set league wide at very often, I'm not sure it will matter if you have every bullpen guy labelled long relief.

Might want to change use of relievers to something less than very often or even often.

Where is that located that I can change usage?

It looks like a league wide problem so it might take awhile too correct it.

I don't want the starter to remain in the game after giving up 9 or 10 runs but I also don't want a team to use 8 relievers in a low scoring game and it's only the first game of a doubleheader.

It's under the game menu. Stats... and something option(at work). It's on the left side Same menu page as the one showing league modifiers.

I changed some teams to long and middle reliefers and have a closer so I will see what happens.

Plus I changed from 5 to 6 man rotation.

Just played a game (6-3 ;9 innings) and the winning team (Minneapolis Bruins) still used 8 relievers despite the changes for relief pitcher usage.

The New York Yankees also must not have heard of relief pitcher usage changes because they are carrying 10 relievers in a second game of a DH vs California Kings.

I am going to freeze the Yankee roster and make them play(in commish mode) 3 straight doubleheaders in the next three days.
