Depth charts, why use them?

Just a dumb question. If our players never get injured, what is the purpose of starting a worse player at that position every three days or so? I understand why you might want a different lineup vs. lefties ect, but being that there is no need to rest people, I don't really get why I would platoon unless I have players of equal value I want to use.

Players never get injured, but they fatigue faster than in the core OOTP game. Subs and a good bench are a must.

There is a need to rest people. Injuries aren't a thing, but fatigue is.
