Weird/funny things to happen in your games
so doing a test franchise for a beta before the game actually gets released, and I am playing as the padres. So far the Marlins are in first place in the east, i started the year 4-1 tied with the Dodgers while everyone else in the NL West started 1-4 also the cubs are 4-4 and in 4th in the central while the Reds are 5-4

I'm doing my test game with my beloved Indians per usual... Thus far it's May 11th and Hanley Ramirez is hitting .333 in 140 ABs, projected for 5 WAR. Man if he can be that good in real life, things will get interesting...
But, much like real life, I assume he will soon regress to the mean faster than you can say "sample size" ![]() Loving the game this year. Slam dunk per usual. |

Reds won the central. Astudillo had a 4.2 WAR.
The Yankees were bad. |

I saw Leo Durocher win his 1st championship with
not the Dodgers, not the Giants, not the Cubs but yes the 1972 Houston Astros. I also saw the Baltimore Orioles go 118-44 with Jim Palmer winning the Cy Young award by going 23-1 2.18 era. I also saw that those same Orioles get upset again. Not the Mets but a 95-67 Giants team. This is a league from ootp19 that i continued in ootp20 from the start of the 1968 season. I witnessed my first inside-the-park homer - ever. (At least while I am playing out a game). C.J. Cron against Noah Syndergaard.

At the start of 1976 Hank Aaron is the career leader in home runs with 754,
hits with 3996 and if he gets 56 rbi's he will be the career leader there too. So basically when he retires he could have a career triple crown. Plus 4,000 hits and over 700 homers. Not sure if any player has come close to that. |

Oh so close. Aaron finished with 2257 rbi's to Ruth's 2284.
But he did get 4057 hits to go with 762 home runs. |
